Young Insurance Services Inc (hereinafter "Young Insurance Services") maintains this site (the "Site") for your personal education, information, communication and entertainment. Please feel free to browse the Site. You may download material displayed on the Site for noncommercial, personal use only provided you also retain all copyright and other proprietary notices contained on the materials. You may not, however, distribute, modify, transmit, reuse, repost or use the content of the Site for public or commercial purposes, including the text, images, audio and video, without Young Insurance Services's written permission.
Your access to and use of the Site is also subject to the following terms and conditions ("Terms and Conditions") and all applicable laws. By accessing and browsing the Site, you accept, without limitation or qualification, the Terms and Conditions and acknowledge that any other agreements between you and Young Insurance Services are superseded and of no force or effect.
OUR COMMITMENT TO CLIENT DISCLOSURE:
When considering the purchase of Life Insurance, Disability Insurance, Critical Illness Insurance, Personal Health Insurance, Employee Benefit Package and an Investment Account, it is important you have a complete understanding of how the products selected can help you achieve your financial goals for your family & business. It is our responsibility as an advisor, to ensure you have been given full disclosure about our licenses (Licensing), life insurance companies we represent (Representation), how we receive compensation (Compensation) and protection of your personal information (Confidentiality).
LICENSING:
W.G. (Bill) Young RHU (Representing Young Insurance Services Inc.) is licensed as a Life Insurance Agent and Accident & Sickness Insurance Agent by the Province of Alberta. Mr. Young maintains professional liability insurance coverage as required under Alberta Law and Regulation.
REPRESENTATION:
In negotiating Life Insurance, Disability Insurance, Critical Illness Insurance, Personal Health Insurance, Employee Benefit Packages, Investments and Retirement Planning, we have access to all the major insurance and investment carriers in Alberta and place most of our business with (Alphabetical) Alberta Blue Cross, Canada Life, Empire Life, Equitable Life, Great-West Life, Industrial Alliance Pacific, Manulife Financial, RBC Insurance, Sun Life Financial, and Transamerica Life. [You will find a comprehensive list of all companies we represent in Addendum B].
COMPENSATION:
Young Insurance Services Inc. will be paid by the company that offers that product. We are compensated by a sales commission following placement of the contract or policy, and may receive a renewal (or service fee) commission if you keep that contract or policy in force.
We may be eligible for additional compensation, such as bonuses, or non-monetary benefits, including travel incentives, depending on various factors such as the volume or persistency of business that we place with a particular company during a given time period.
It is important to understand that we will not place business with any particular insurance company where the primary reason for dealing with that insurance company is for the sole purpose of added compensation or incentives.
We are also available on a “fee for service” basis for the purposes of individual & estate planning or consulting on employee benefit programs. If you choose this process, purchase of related products through Young Insurance Services Inc. is not necessary.
CONFIDENTIALITY:
During the course of our relationship, it will be necessary for you, the client, to provide a variety of personal and financial information. The quality of work undertaken on your behalf requires the information to be accurate and complete and is used in the establishment of legal agreements. All information collected will be held in the strictest of confidence. Addendum “A” of this document is our “PRIVACY STATEMENT” which tells you how we will handle your information and describes your rights pertaining to your information. This statement is necessary to conform to the Personal Information Protection and Electronic documents Act (PIPEDA).
We will maintain all personal data and collected information for a period of no less than seven years. Any information or data exceeding seven years of age will be securely destroyed.
People with access to your personal information would include: our company, your chosen insurer(s), contact employees and employees or contract workers of Young Insurance Services Inc. Further, Young Insurance Services Inc. has two partner companies to better serve your needs. These companies are Holden Insurance Services Ltd. and Marathon Benefits Corp. In our absence, you will have the ability to request that directors, contractors or employees of either of these companies access your files in order to provide assistance. Furthermore, we write individual business through other brokerage companies: First Prairie Financial and Bridge Force Financial Group (formerly known as Financial Management). These companies must abide by the same privacy legislation as Young Insurance Services Inc. and its partner companies.
The association of Young Insurance Services Inc. and the partner companies is intended to serve your needs better and offer continuity for planning reasons. The partner companies operate in the same physical office location and share expenses.
SUMMARY:
Young Insurance Services Inc., its employees, directors, contract personnel and partner companies agree to notify you, the client, of any and all existing or perceived conflicts of interest, if and when they arise.
Recommendations for your personal and/or corporate needs are based on analysis of your goals. The analysis is based on information you provide us and will be based on current laws and accepted tax planning strategies. We may consult professional advice on your behalf from time to time.
Should you require additional information about our qualifications or the nature of our business relationships with any professionals or insurance companies, we would please to provide that information.
Protecting your family and/or business is paramount to your financial health. We encourage you to take time to understand any information we present. Always feel free to ask any question about our recommendations, the insurance company we may recommend, and/or the products we may recommend.

PRIVACY CONSENT
Young Insurance Services Inc. values your business and we thank you for your confidence in choosing our firm as your source of advice and products. As our client, you trust us with your personal information. We respect that trust and want you to be aware of our commitment to protect the information you share in the course of doing business.
YOUR RIGHTS AS THEY PERTAIN TO YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION:
- You have the right to know why an organization collects, uses or discloses your personal information.
- You have the right to expect an organization to handle your information reasonably and to not use it for any purpose other than the one to which you consented.
- You have the right to know who, in an organization is responsible for protecting your information.
- You have the right to expect an organization to protect your information from unauthorized disclosure.
- You have the right to inspect the information an organization holds about you and make sure it is accurate, complete, and current.
- You have the right to expect an organization to destroy your information when requested or when no longer required for the intended original purpose.
- You have the right to confidentially complain to an organization about how it handles your information and to the Privacy Commissions of Canada, if need be.
HOW WE COLLECT, USE AND DISCLOSE YOUR INFORMATION:
When you do business with us, you share personal information so that we may provide you with products and services that best meet your needs. We may use and disclose this information in order to:
- Communicate with you in a timely manner and efficient manner.
- Assess your application for investment, insurance and others services available through our firm.
- Evaluate claims and underwriting risks when required.
- Detect and prevent fraud.
- Analyze business results.
- Act as required or authorized by law.
WHAT WE WILL NOT DO WITH YOUR INFORMATION:
We do not share information with organizations outside of our relationship with you that would use it to contact you about their own products or services.
WE STRIVE TO PROTECT YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION:
All employees, associated advisors, contractors, partner firms, and suppliers, who are granted access to client records, understand the need to keep this information confidential. They know they are to use the information only for the purpose(s) intended. This expectation is clearly communicated. We’ve also established physical and systems safeguards, along with proper processes, to protect client information from unauthorized access or use.
YOUR PRIVACY CHOICES:
You may withdraw, in writing, your consent at any time (subject to legal or contractual obligations and on providing us reasonable notice) by contacting our Privacy Officer. Please be aware that withdrawing your consent may prevent us from providing you with request products or services. We may occasionally use your personal information to advise you of products or services we believe may be of interest to you or fit your personal circumstances. If you would rather not receive this type of communication, please advise our Privacy Officer.

ALTERNATIVE FUNDING OPTIONS:
For Health & Dental Plans, alternative funding mechanisms may be available. For these situations, we work with third-party providers. We will evaluate these options on a case by case basis. One option is a “Pay As You Go” Private Health Services Plan administered through Holden Financial Services Ltd.
At Young Insurance Services Inc., we use Bookkeepers, Accountants & Lawyers to ensure your benefits are designed within Canada Revenue Agency and legal guidelines. We also have access to Mortgage Brokers, Commercial, and Residential Real Estate Agents. We can make these experts available to you and your employees.
You, the client, have read the preceding provisions. You have read the privacy statement attached “Addendum A” and agree to all the terms. By signing below I agree to engage the services of Young Insurance Services Inc.

Young Insurance Services has not reviewed all the sites linked to the Site and is not responsible for the content of any other sites linked to the Site. Your linking to any other off-site pages or other sites is at your own risk, and is subject to these terms and conditions.
Although Young Insurance Services may from time to time monitor or review discussions, chats, postings, transmissions, bulletin boards, and the like on the Site, Young Insurance Services is under no obligation to do so and assumes no responsibility or liability arising from the content of any such locations, nor for any error, defamation, libel, slander, omission, falsehood, obscenity, pornography, profanity, danger or inaccuracy contained in any information within such locations on the Site.
